Oak Bluff Bible Church, a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Conference (EMC), began its services in 2005 as part of a vision to plant an evangelical church in Oak Bluff, located just off of the south perimeter of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In 1999 volunteers from Rosenort Fellowship Chapel began hosting a Vacation Bible School program in Oak Buff each summer. The popularity of the program prompted prayers and discussions within Rosenort Fellowship Chapel.

Six families rallied around the vision to plant a church in the community of Oak Bluff.  Planning for the church began in fall 2004. The first worship service of Oak Bluff Bible Church, held in Oak Bluff Community School, was on 11 September 2005. During the academic year, services continue at the school; in summer, the congregation holds services at a community hall. Oak Bluff Bible Church was received into the EMC in 2006.

In 2012, Oak Bluff’s original pastoral couple, Troy and CoraLee Selley, continued to serve. Troy, a test engineer and manager, was trained as a pastor within Rosenort Fellowship Chapel. He later began seminary studies. By 2012 Oak Bluff’s pastoral position had moved from being unpaid to paid.

In 2012 the average attendance at an Oak Bluff Bible Church service was 80. That same year Oak Bluff Bible Church participated in a Meridian Youth Rally for the rural municipality of Macdonald and area.
