Pleasant View Mennonite Church, at Manheim, Pennsylvania, USA, was established in 1999 as an outreach of the New Haven Mennonite Church (Mid-Atlantic Mennonite Fellowship) which was filled to capacity at that time.

Jacob and Alverta Ebersole learned of the sale of the Pleasant View United Zion Church building located along Hossler Road, and the Pleasant View Cemetery located along Buckwalter Road in Manheim. Eugene Kreider, a real estate agent who attended that church, said the group using the church at that time would have first priority to purchase it. A few days later, that group voted to not purchase the building. It was in good condition, and after much prayer and discussion the group from New Haven decided to purchase it. The United Zion Church and the Cemetery was purchased on 31 August 1999 for $160,000.00. The down payment was $60,000.00 and the remainder was to be paid over five years with no interest being charged. The last payment was made on 3 January 2003.

Prior to the first service, those interested in moving to the new congregation attended a meeting at New Haven on 26 July 1999, to organize the Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Marvin Zeiset had been ordained as minister in 1990 at the Mount Hope Mennonite Church and was serving without charge at New Haven since 1997. He was asked to take responsibility as minister at Pleasant View, and in December 1999, the new congregation voted to accept his ministry. Linford Weaver, who had been serving as deacon at the New Haven congregation, also transferred continued to serve in the same position at Pleasant View.

The first service at Pleasant View was held 19 September 1999, with an attendance of 64. A dedication service was held 10 October 1999, with Jonathan Schmidt as the speaker. Nathan Good, from South Boston, Virginia, served as evangelist for the first revival meetings held 6-12 March 2000.

In March 2001, the congregation approved a request to ordain another minister. Votes were taken on 27 June 2001, and David Sensenig was ordained by use of the lot on 1 July 2001.

In February 2009, the Sporting Hill Elementary School was offered for sale by sealed bid. Because the New Haven Mennonite School was full and needed to either build an addition or start another school, there was interest in purchasing a building. Kerek Musser was present at the opening of the bids on February 27 and was informed that, upon approval from the Manheim Central School Board, the Sporting Hill School would be sold to Pleasant View Church for $416,000. This approval was given on 25 March 2009, and settlement was made on 7 May 2009. The school, located at 65 South Colebrook Road, Manheim, Pennsylvania, was named Sporting Hill Christian School.

Sporting Hill Christian School opened on 26 August 2010 with 25 students. Dean Zeiset served as principal and teacher for grades six through eight. Kwamaine Parson taught grades three through five and Louise Hoover taught grades one and two.

In the summer of 2011, the Millmont Mennonite Church (MAMF) asked if Pleasant View would be interested in assisting with the outreach work they started in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After bringing it to the congregation, Pleasant View agreed to accept the opportunity. Groups from Pleasant View helped to find and prepare a building for use in 2012.

Dean Zeiset was ordained on 21 April 2013 to assist his father in the ministry. As of 1 January 2013 membership was 77. The ministerial team consisted of Luke Martin, bishop; Marvin Zeiset, David Sensenig, and Dean Zeiset, ministers; Linford Weaver, deacon.
