Heinrich H. Regier: Mennonite (General Conference Mennonite) elder; born 12 September 1855 at Alexanderkrone in the Molotschna Mennonite settlement, South Russia. During the migration of the Mennonites from Russia to America he settled in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. He attended the Baptist Theological Seminary at Rochester, New York. In 1888 he became the first minister of the Bethel Mennonite Church, and elder on 18 November 1890. He married Maria Görtzen 30 March 1884. On 1 January 1927 he resigned from his office and died 4 January 1934. He baptized 157 candidates, ordained 12 elders, and served on the aid committee of the General Conference for many years.
