South Bend Hutterite Colony in Alliance, Alberta, was founded in 1965 as a division from the Winnifred Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the South Bend Hutterite Colony is the Golden View Hutterite Colony (Biggar, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2017 South Bend Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
