Spring View Hutterite Colony in Gem, Alberta, was founded in 1979 as a division from the Bow City Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Spring View Hutterite Colony is the Armada Hutterite Colony (Armada, Alberta, Canada).

In 2017 the Spring View Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
