The Whistler Community Church in Whistler, British Columbia originated in 1977, when a Bible club was started in Whistler in the local elementary school. In 1979 a small group of people began meeting for Sunday services in the Skier's Chapel at Whistler's Creekside. In 1980 this group formally organized and joined the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]]. The congregation outgrew the Skiers' Chapel and began to meet in the Myrtle Philip Community Centre in April 1993.
