Wybrandt Jans (d. 1530)

Wybrandt Jans, of Hartwerd near Bolsward in the Dutch province of Friesland, was burned at the stake at Leeuwarden on 28 June 1530, because he held heretical views on the doctrines of the Incarnation of Christ and His two natures. Although Karel Vos thought that this had reference to the doctrine of the Incarnation as taught by Melchior Hofmann and later also by Menno Simons, Wybrandt Jans was probably not an Anabaptist, but a Sacramentist.
