Wine Spring Schoolhouse, Peru, Pendleton County, West Virginia, is located in South Fork (Branch of the Potomac) country several miles north of Sweedlin Valley. The Mennonites (Mennonite Church) began preaching here ca. 1920. It was an extension of the work from the Sweedlin Valley by the Northern District council. In the late 1950s the pastor of the Pleasant Grove church in Sweedlin Valley was responsible for the services here. Wine Spring is listed as Peru in the Mennonite Yearbook.
