Shalom Mennonite Church (Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA)
The Shalom Mennonite Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA, began in the fall of 2006 as a daughter congregation of Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Two families from Eau Claire had been commuting 90 miles each way to church. Daniel and Kristi Winings led the initial efforts at a church plant that met in a Jewish temple. In 2016 it moved to a different location.
Four congregations agreed to support Shalom Mennonite practically and spiritually. This led to quarterly gatherings with the supporting churches--Salem-Zion, Bethel Mennonite (Mountain Lake), Faith Mennonite (Minneapolis), and Emmanuel Mennonite.
Shalom joined the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA in 2010.
In 2023 the congregation met approximately every other month.
In 2023 the congregation remained part of the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
